Poisoned apples, spinning wheels, and fairy dust will all hit the fan in this fractured fairy tale from the author of last year’s successful “Of Love and Mac ‘n Cheese.” The plot centers around Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, twin sisters separated at birth to avoid the clutches of a mysterious little man. All goes well until the sisters’ sixteenth birthdays, when the sinister Queen Vache concocts an evil plan guaranteed to make their parties anything but sweet. All the memorable characters are here, along with some new ones, such as the king’s showtune-savvy court minstrel, a not-so-charming prince, and a flamboyant fairy godfather. With wild chases, random product placement, and more comic mishaps than you can shake a magic wand at, this is one “happily ever after” you can’t miss.
